COVID-19 (CoronaVirus) Update

2/11/2021

Dear TPSS Softball Families,

I know it's been a long time since this page has been updated.  2020 was quite a year.  I'm very pleased to announce that registration will be opening soon for the Spring 2021 TPSS Girls Softball season!  There will obviously be some rule modifications along with additional precautions taken.  TPSS is committed to following all CDC and Local Government regulations to ensure a safe (and fun) softball season.  Please keep your eyes peeled for an email with additional details coming soon.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected]

Sincerely,
Doug Wannall
TPSS Softball Co-Commissioner

Dear TPSS Softball Families,

Since my last email to you, we’ve continued to see the extraordinary impact of coronavirus COVID-19 and how it is disrupting so much of our daily lives.  TPSS will continue to make the health and well-being of our athletes and community our top priority.

In an effort to promote social distancing, Montgomery County Parks has canceled all field permits through the end of April.  We are planning on starting the spring softball season on Saturday May 2nd.

At this time nobody knows how this whole thing will unfold.  TPSS will continue to monitor this fluid situation and keep you updated as it evolves.

Sincerely,
Doug Wannall
TPSS Softball Co-Commissioner

Dear TPSS Softball Families,

Like many of you, we have become increasingly concerned with how the evolving CoronaVirus (COVID-19) situation could affect our community. Please know that the health and well-being of our athletes and community continues to be our organization’s top priority.

With that in mind and after serious consideration, we have made the decision to cancel (postpone?) the Pre-Season Skill Clinic scheduled for Saturday, March 21st.   We will do our best to reschedule the clinic and are holding out hope that the subsequent clinics will be unaffected.

While we know that disruptions and cancellations are not ideal, this decision was reached based on our commitment to our community’s health and well-being. We appreciate your commitment to each other, and everyone’s efforts to make the best of this tough situation.

We will continue to monitor the situation and update our guidance as it evolves.

Sincerely,
Doug Wannall
TPSS Softball Co-Commissioner
