The goal of TPSS Softball is to provide an opportunity for girls ages 6-14* to play softball in a positive, fair, instructional and safety-oriented environment.  Objectives of TPSS include: teaching fundamentals of the game, helping improve skills, and instilling the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and love of the game.  Prior softball experience is not necessary.

*Girls in 9th grade may be 15 during the season


League Information

- TPSS has provided quality rec baseball and softball opportunities to our community for over 26 years.
- TPSS Softball is an all-volunteer league.  We are always looking for parent coaches whether head or assistant coach.
- Players play in appropriate age divisions: 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U (U stands for under).  Details below.
- Games are played on Saturdays at Hillandale Local Park with possible exceptions for special events.
- Game times will vary week to week and will have start times of either 9am, 11am, 1pm, or 3pm.
- Each team practices one day during the week.
- Pre-Season Clinics are included in league fees.

Season Information

Pre-Season Clinics:  March 21st, 28th and April 4th (Free and quite frankly.... Awesome!)
Opening Day:  April 18th
Final Game:  June 13th


Division Information

See Below for a description of each division in TPSS.  Please note that we do honor most requests if a player would like to "play up" a division.  We will consider requests to "play down" a division but we can't guarantee support due to safety concerns. 
Please note: the age groups below are based on your athlete's age on December 31st, 2018 (see 14U for an exception)

8U - Girls 6 - 8 years old born in 2011, 2012, or 2013
Instructional league for new players or those transitioning from T-ball that provides instruction in positions, rules, and game play with minimal emphasis on competition. Games are played with coaches pitching.

10U - Girls 9 - 10 years old born in 2009 or 2010
Instructional League that permits growth in positions, rules, and game play with added emphasis on competition while facing first or second season pitchers.  Prior softball experience is not necessary.

12U - Girls 11 - 12 years old born in 2007 or 2008
Instructional League that encourages growth and allows players to begin to develop in a specific position(s).  Rules are less liberal and hitters will be facing improving pitchers.  Prior softball experience is not necessary.

14U - Girls 13 - 14 years old born in 2005 or 2006 (or 2004 if in 9th Grade)
Instructional League where game play is at its truest form to allow players the opportunity to improve their skills prior to potentially transitioning to a High School based program.
