2023 Coed Fall Baseball


We are pleased to announce the TPSS Fall Coed Baseball Program for 2023. This Fall season, we will hold games and practices on Sunday afternoons.

The goal of TPSS Coed Baseball is to provide an opportunity for boys and girls ages 5-14* to play baseball in a positive, fair, instructional and safety-oriented environment.  Objectives of TPSS include: teaching fundamentals of the game, helping improve skills, and instilling the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and love of the game.  Prior baseball experience is not necessary.

    

Registration Fees

§  Registration fees vary by division (still a bargain) and include insurance, field permits, team shirt / hat, equipment and umpire fees, if applicable;

Operating Guidelines

§  TPSS offers boys and girls an opportunity to participate and enjoy a recreational experience in a healthy competitive setting;

§  Fall program plays on Sunday afternoons;

§  Sunday afternoon play optimizes the limited field availability and the decreasing amount of daylight;

§  Clinics require separate registration and fee;

§  All players should register via our online website prior to participation in any division;

§  Scholarships are available;

§  Fields primarily used: Broadacres, Forest, Spring Park; Eastern, Nolte

§  Players not signed up by the close of registration may incur a late fee and are not guaranteed a spot on the team;

§  All registered players will be assigned to a team by a league official;

§  For equity and playing time, we strive to keep teams to 12-13 players;

§  To ensure team shirts by first game, players must be registered by August 31.

Age Eligibility

Generally, boys and girls ages 5 – 14 are eligible to play TPSS.  A 5 year old player should have prior T-Ball experience and a parent that is willing to monitor the child at all practices and games.  No high school players.  Our registration system is set to these age ranges. Of course, we recognize that exceptions occur and are willing to work with parents.  Simply contact the League Administrator for registration assistance.

Equipment

§  TPSS will provide balls, safety helmets, bats, catchers gear, bases, first aid kits; hitting tees; 

§  Team T-shirts and hats are provided as part of the registration fee which should be worn at all games. Long pants are recommended;

§  Tennis shoes are recommended. Molded rubber spikes may be worn (metal spikes are not allowed); 

§  Batters, base runners, and on-deck batters are required to wear batters’ helmets.

Coaches/Assistant Coaches

§  Coaching is not continuous from Spring. If you are interested in returning (and we hope you are) or are new to TPSS please sign up.   

Umpires

§  High school umpires will call Minors AA / games.

Sportsmanship / Code of Conduct / Concussion Awareness

§ Each player, coach and parent should exhibit good sportsmanship throughout the season.

§ All coaches, parents and athletes are required to familiarize themselves with our Code of Conduct and Concussion Awareness programs.

Spread the Word

When was the last time you saw something, and you just had to tell your friends about it?  TPSS relies on parents, players and FOB/FOS to spread the message about TPSS ball. So please take a moment to share through word of mouth, social media, list serves, etc.
