Guidelines for the Rookie Division are as follows:

  • Basic baseball skills, fun & sportmanship will be emphasized;
  • Scores and standings not be kept;
  • Coaches pitch underhand to the batters;
  • Rules, equipment, and fields are modified where necessary;
  • Player teammate/coach requests will be accommodated to the extent possible;
  • Players receive a shirt and hat;
  • In the Spring, one practice (usually a weeknight) and one game each week on Saturday;  
  • In the Fall, the focus in on instructions and games. Alternate weekly.
  • All games played on fields in the Takoma Park area.

 *5-year olds with T-ball experience will be permitted on a case by case basis. A parent must watch the child always.

 Guidelines for the Minors A Division are as follows:

  • Instructional division in which most players are learning to hit, throw, and field;
  • Scores and standing not be kept;
  • Modified Coach pitch;
  • Position of catcher introduced;
  • Coaches will encourage a variety of position and situational play opportunities;
  • Coaches not permitted to require sports specialization;
  • In the Spring, one practice (usually a weeknight) and one game each week on Saturday;  
  • In the Fall, the focus in on instructions and games. Alternate weekly.
  • All games played on fields in the Takoma Park area.

 
General guidelines for the Minors AA Division are as follows:

  • Players pitch from 42 feet;
  • Scores and standing kept;
  • Coaches will encourage a variety of position and situational play opportunities.
  • Stealing (though not leading off) is permitted.  Bunting is allowed;
  • High school umpires;
  • Tournaments, post-season play allowed. Selection criteria for participation should be publicized. Participation should be broad based.
  • In the Spring, one practice (usually a weeknight) and one game each week on Saturday;  
  • In the Fall, the focus in on instructions and games. Alternate weekly.
  • All games played at Broadacres.

 General guidelines for the Majors Division are as follows:

  • Plays competitive baseball on 70-feet diamonds with players pitching from 46 feet;
  • Scores and Standings will be kept;
  • Coaches will encourage a variety of position and situational play opportunities;
  • Coaches not permitted to require sports specialization;
  • Tournaments, post-season play, and all-star competition allowed;
  • Paid professional umpires call balls and strikes;
  • In the Spring, one practice (usually a weeknight) and one game each week on Saturday;  
  • In the Fall, the focus in on instructions and games. Alternate weekly.
  • In the Spring, all games played on Nolte Field #2.
